Straight Talk on Layers

Don't you hate it when you get your layers together crooked?  What a sure way to ruin a nice project!  I want to share my secret with you–maybe it isn't a secret, really, but it is a great way to cut down on your goofs.

I put SNAIL Adhesive on the back of the smaller piece of paper or card stock.  Then I gently lay it on top of the mat without pressing down so I can still move it if it is not straight.  Then I gently tap it into place with the tip of my craft knife.  When it is in just the right position, I press firmly on all the areas with adhesive.  Works like a charm.

Of course, even with this technique, my layers can still come out crooked.  When that happens I whip out my Heat Tool, heat up the areas with adhesive, and voila!, I am able to peel the layers apart again.

I hope this helps.  Stamping should be a fun activity, not frustrating, so learning all the little things you can do to make things go smoothly will enhance your experience and help develop your creativity!

Happy Stamping,
