Bells & Boughs Holly

I thought I would show you one more card I made using a stamp from Bells and Boughs set.

The color combination is the one featured in Stampin' Up!'s Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper:  Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke, Crumb Cake, and Very Vanilla.  I have featured projects with the paper HERE and HERE.  I decided not to use the paper on this card, and just use the colors.

I stamped the holly image on Shimmery White Card Stock in Black Staz-On, then colored it with blender pens and markers.  A touch of Gold Glow Smooch Spritz (118770) adds even more shimmer.  I layered it on Brushed Gold and Cherry Cobbler card stock.

The background band is Naturals Ivory stamped with the En Francais (109521) background stamp in Always Artichoke.  I really like this stamp.  You probably saw the coasters I posted HERE on Monday.  It gives a very elegant look to any project.  I used Cherry Cobbler and Alwyas Artichoke for the layers, and you can see I had fun with the Scallop Trim Border Punch (118402).

The tag is made with the Modern Label Punch (119849).  The top layer uses the greeting from A Cardinal Christmas (111760) stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.  The bottom layer is from the same punch, then cut in half and glued so that it extends beyond the top layer.  Gold brads add a nice accent.

The Crumb Cake base was stamped with the Soft Holly wheel (112968) in Versamark ink.  This gives a subtle pattern to the base without making it too busy.

I hope you are getting some good ideas for your holiday projects.  Happy Stamping,
