Get Ready to Color with Stampin’ Blends Alcohol Markers!

Get ready to COLOR with Stampin’ Blends, the new alcohol markers from Stampin’ Up! If you’re like me, you love to color stamped images. But water-based markers (Stampin’ Write Markers) just don’t always give good looking results. I’ve found ways to use them effectively, but there’s no doubt that alcohol markers make my coloring look MUCH better!

Take a look at these two cards. Both use the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set, one of my favorite stamps to color. In the video I made on the coloring technique for the first card, I showed how you can get pretty good blending, shading, and contouring. It came out great, as far as water-based inks and Blender Pens go.

Now look at the same flower colored with Stampin’ Blends. I didn’t have to struggle to get smooth lines and shading, the alcohol makes the ink just glide on the cardstock.

Since alcohol markers work so much differently than water-based, Stampin’ Up! has created some great videos to help you get started.

This video shows how to get even more out of your Stampin’ Blends.

I hope you’re inspired to try these awesome Markers that are available in 12  Stampin’ Up! colors!
