Here come the new 2017-2019 In Colors, fresh from the 2017 Annual Catalog from Stampin’ Up! Since colors are a major component in cardmaking and papercrafting, Stampin’ Up! likes to keep adding colors that are trending in the design industry each year. The new colors are always part of the excitement of seeing a new Annual Catalog, but it means saying goodbye to the retiring colors as well.
The 2015-2017 In Colors are on their way out!
Watermelon Wonder, Tip Top Taupe, Mint Macaron, Delightful Dijon, and Cucumber Crush will all be gone when the new Catalog goes live June 1st. The 2017-2019 In Colors are stunning to my taste:
The new colors are ready to invade your craft room and take you on new adventures. There’s something for everyone’s color style in this collection.
Tranquil Tide is a lovely, muted teal.
Fresh Fig is like a muted version of Rich Razzleberry.
Powder Pink is a soft pastel, somewhere between Blushing Bride and Pink Pirouette.
Berry Burst is a bright magenta.
Lemon Lime Twist is a neon yellow-green.
Each year I create cards with each new In Color, usually in the same design. I started with Lemon Lime Twist, the most challenging for me because it’s so bright.
I found it works best for me as an accent instead of a main color. The Garden Green and Crushed Curry also helped to tone down the neon effect.
Now that I’ve created cards with all 5 colors, using the Daisy Delight Bundle, I’ll be making videos about the colors. They will explore the properties of each, compare them to the other Stampin’ Up! colors, and look at what they combine with best.
If you haven’t seen the In Color videos I did in past years, you can find them on The Mad Stamper YouTube Channel by using this link: Color Tips Playlist. Be sure to subscribe to my channel while you’re there!
Here come the new In Colors from Stampin’ Up!, and I think you’re going to love them!
