Handmade treat holders make great favors for your Thanksgiving table, and are super easy to make with the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch. This one is made with the Fancy Frost Specialty Designer Series Paper from Stampin’ Up!’s Holiday Catalog.
You’ll love the Fancy Frost DSP (item # 142014). The white paper is embossed as if it went through an Embossing Folder. On one side the pattern is raised, on the other the pattern is debossed so the surface is mostly flat. You can leave it white for some really nice texture, or color it to bring out the pattern For this project, the color was to the raised pattern with sponges: The first layer with Crushed Curry, then Cajun Craze sponged over the leaves.
If you’re a subscriber, you saw the Star Shaped Box in my latest newsletter email, complete with video instructions on how to make it. In that project, the color was added to the debossed side, and you get a very different effect that way. Be sure to take a look at it in this post: Star Shaped Box for Christmas.
If you want to make this sweet little Thanksgiving Favor, here’s a video. It’s a bit longer than it needs to be, so you can skip through some of the slow parts.
