The Big Day stamp set is perfect for handmade birthday cards that are sure to make everyone smile! I’ve shown two other cards using this set, which you can see in these posts: Big Day and Blendabilities, and Big Day and Work of Art.
This time I tried something new: A hidden waterfall card.
A traditional waterfall card has images that are all the same size. That means you see part of each panel which is fully revealed by pulling on the tab. But I thought it would be fun to hide each panel until it’s uncovered by the one on top of it. It took a lot of experimenting before I got it figured out, and I almost gave up when my first attempt to put it together didn’t work. But I persevered.
As you pull on the tab, here’s what you’ll see:
Isn’t that delightful? I had planned to do a video on how to make a hidden waterfall card, but this one turned out so bulky, I think I’ll wait until I have a chance to make one with smaller panels.
If you love to make birthday cards for friends and family, the Big Day stamp set is sure to be a big hit! Who can resist smiling at the invitation to celebrate with cake, “and perhaps a little ice cream!” The set is perfect for coloring. This one is done with Blendabilities, but Stampin’ Write Markers will do a great job, too.

You might be wondering about the chevron background. It’s made with the Work of Art stamp set, which has some great images for backgrounds or for focal points. It’s quite versatile, as you can see in these posts: Using Mats Effectively and Work of Art Valentine.
