If you want to create a great handmade card for spring, Love is Kindness from Stampin’ Up! couldn’t be more perfect! Who can resist a bouquet of tulips to brighten their day?
You’ll love coloring this stamp, whether you use Blendabilities, as in this sample, or Stampin’ Up!’s water-based markers. Then dress it up in a lacy doily, add a bit of twine, and you’ve got a lovely card for any spring occasion!
Did you notice the background? Here’s a close-up.
I used the same technique I showed you in the video in this post: Quick and Easy Handmade Card. The difference is that I stamped tone-on-tone (Blushing Bride Ink on the same color card stock) without stamping off first. You’ll love the backgrounds you can make with the Work of Art stamp set, that are subtle enough to provide nice texture without overwhelming your focal point.
As you can see, the stamp actually has a sentiment with the image, but it’s really easy to leave it off if you want. Since the bouquet just fits in the Labels Framelits I wanted to use, I left it off. Here’s a quick video on how to do that by masking a stamp before you ink it.
