If you’ve seen the Holiday Catalog, then you probably realize the Gift Box Punch Board from Stampin’ Up! is coming soon! Then again, maybe you missed it in the catalog, it’s at the bottom of page 5. I know it’s hard to see everything until you’ve gone through the catalog a few times! When my preorder arrived, I just had to sit down and try it out. I used a 12″ x 12″ piece of retired Designer Series Paper (DSP) to make this 4″ x 4″ x 4″ box–the largest you can make with the Punch Board.
Isn’t that just too cute?!! The best part of it is how simple it is to make. Need a gift box in a hurry? You’ll love this tool! Just choose your DSP or card stock, cut it to the measurements needed for the size box you want, and in just a couple minutes, you’ll have it ready for a ribbon and tag!
Last year Stampin’ Up! introduced the Envelope Punch Board, which made making handmade envelopes super easy! You can read about it in these posts: Handmade Envelopes, 3D Envelope Treat Holder, 3D Envelope Video.
Just like with the Envelope Punch Board, there’s a chart with all the measurements you need for 15 different boxes! The base of the boxes are all squares, with sides measuring 1-3/4″, 2-1/2″, 3-1/4″, or 4″. The height of the box has to be one of the previous four measurements, but as you can see, that gives you lots of choices! Here are some Christmas boxes in three different sizes:
Check back next week for a video on how to use the Gift Box Punch Board. And remember, you can’t order this item until August 28th, when the Holiday Catalog goes live!
Meanwhile, enjoy the catalog! All my customers should have received their copies by now. Sometimes they get lost in the mail, so if you didn’t get one, be sure to email me at email@example.com.
If you’d like to become a Stamping Madly customer and receive your own free copy of the Holiday Catalog, just send me an email with your name and phone number. After a quick call, I’ll put one in the mail for you! It’s so much more fun to have a copy in your hands than to view it online!
The Gift Box Punch Board from Stampin’ Up! is coming soon, so add it to your wish list and get ready to shop Thursday, August 28th!
