Are you feeling guilty about that neglected scrapbook you started a few years ago? I am, and thought I’d share my story with you.
Four years ago, my dear friends Paul and Lina got married. I couldn’t travel across the country to attend their wedding, so I made them an awesome card with an offer to do a scrapbook for them. Here’s the tri-fold shutter card I made, with thoughts of love and congratulations in every piece! It’s quite a production, don’t you think?
It took a year before I received the photos from the wedding, and another year before I finally created the first page of their scrapbook. I’m obviously much better at finishing cards than scrapbook pages! Here’s the title page for their scrapbook:
Do you want to see the rest of the pages I made? Sorry, that’s as far as I got. So here I am feeling guilty about the pictures they’ve sent and the memories I said I’d put in a book for them.
Now I have a new plan: Project Life. I’m excited, because Stampin’ Up! has partnered with Becky Higgins, who developed Project Life, a simple scrapbooking system for busy people! Click on the image below for more information:
I’m not excited just for myself, but for all of you who are like me, with good intentions, too little time, and too much guilt! Pocket Page scrapbooking isn’t new, of course. What is new is combining the simplicity of Project Life’s Pocket Pages and Journaling Cards with Stampin’ Up! colors, stamps, and coordinating products!
Although the complete line of Project Life products won’t be available until the new Annual Catalog goes live on June 2nd, you can preorder some items this month. Use this button to view them in my Online Stampin’ Up! Store:
