Scalloped Tag Punch Makes a Sweet Treat Holder

The Scalloped Tag Topper Punch makes a sweet Valentine’s Day Treat Holder.  Handmade gifts are the best for holidays, and you’ll love this 3D paper craft project for any occasion, not just Valentine’s Day.

I ordered this punch because I love the scalloped shape, but didn’t know how much I’d use it because I don’t make too many tags.  So I got out some old retired card stock, added a sense of adventure, and started experimenting.  I think the end result is way too cute, don’t you?

Of course if you feel guilty passing the chocolate around, you could use this to hold any kind of little gift.  But what’s Valentine’s Day for, anyway, if not chocolate?

If you like making tags, the Scalloped Tag Topper Punch is a must-have for your craft room.  You can see other samples in these posts:  Valentines and Spring Treat Holder.  Now that I have the punch, I can see many tags in my future!

Crisp Cantaloupe and Cherry Cobbler make a striking color combination, while Hearts a Flutter gave me the perfect stamp to go with the embossed hearts (Adorning Accents Embossing Folder).  The bows are made with Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding and the lovely Crisp Cantaloupe Twine from the Sale-a-Bration Catalog.  Remember, items in the Sale-a-Bration Catalog are FREE with an order of $50 or more of ANY Stampin’ Up! merchandise!

Leave me a comment if you’d like to see a video on how to create the treat holder.  I’ll show the basic construction, then you can embellish it for any occasion.

The Scalloped Tag Topper Punch makes lovely tags, plus a very sweet treat holder or gift box.
