Handmade Grunge Postcard

Here’s the second in a series of handmade postcards, this time using the Gorgeous Grunge and Off the Grid stamp sets from Stampin’ Up!  You can see other examples using the Postcard stamp in these posts:  Handmade Postcards and Vintage/Shabby Chic Postcard.

If you’re like me, having stamp sets for making cards you can send to men is a big help.  As you know, I love all the flowery, girly stuff, but I can’t send those cards to my men friends and family.  These two stamp sets are gender neutral, and perfect for anyone who likes the grunge look.

The two bars of stripes were stamped with the Gold Metallic Encore Ink, available in the 2013 Holiday Catalog.  I’m glad to see Stampin’ Up! bring these Gold and Silver Metallic Inks back, and hope they’ll carry over after December. You’ll love the bit of bling they add to a project without stealing the show.  Can you imagine all the ways you can use Metallic Inks when you’re making Christmas projects?

They provide just the right amount of bling for a project like this, and will be very useful when you’re making Christmas projects.

Great one-layer masculine card! I like how you used the ink to jazz it up. Thanks for sharing!

Thanks, Michelle. It’s challenging to come up with good masculine cards, especially since I love flowers so much!
