Handmade Postcards are multiplying all over my stamping studio! I’ve been just a little obsessed, seeing what fun designs I could come up with, using the Postcard stamp from Stampin’ Up! on the address side, and various sets decorating the other side.
When you saw this stamp in the new Stampin’ Up! catalog, what did you think? Were you as intrigued as I was? I wasn’t sure what I was going to do with it, but I sure wanted to find out!
First of all, if you like vintage projects, this will be right at home in your craft room. I showed you a vintage/shabby chic card using this stamp in this post: Vintage/Shabby Chic Postcard.
Secondly, the idea of sending postcards appeals to me. They’re quick to make, and they provide that personal touch that only handmade can give. Your recipients will be surprised to find one of your postcards in their mailbox. And face it, the postage will save you money compared to what an ornate, lumpy bumpy card costs to send!
Here’s the front side of the first postcard I made:
The Happy Day stamp set made a simple design, and the customer I sent it to was thrilled. I wanted to make sure it would actually hold up in the mail. She said it reached her in good shape, and apparently the post office didn’t have trouble seeing the stamp I added.
I told you I’ve been a little obsessed making postcards, so check back tomorrow to see the grunge version I made for a male friend who needed to know I care. Don’t forget to add the Postcard stamp to your wishlist, and then use this button to go to my Online Stampin’ Up! Store:
