The May Mad Stampers Club projects are ready, and this month the cards are made with the Bordering on Romance stamp set. I created these projects long before the retiring items were announced. Although Bordering on Romance is on the Retired List, the stamp sets are usually available until the new catalog is released on May 31st.
The simple version is designed as a lesson in cutting and using mats of different sizes. Fortunately, none of the other supplies for this card are retiring.
I wish I'd had the Retired Lists before I designed the second card, since the main colors, Not Quite Navy and Baja Breeze, are not only retired, but the card stock and ink refills are already sold out! I've suggested alternative colors for club members in case they don't have these colors.
The stepped up version is a very girly affair that was too much fun to design. I hope the Club members have fun making it!
