Handmade Baby Card

I just learned my sister is having her first grandbaby this year, so of course I had to make a handmade Congratulations card for the new baby.  It isn't often I have a new baby to make things for, so becoming a great aunt sounds like fun!

I think this falls in the "too cute" category.  How about you?  The stamp is the Baby Tees wheel, stamped in Black StazOn (so the black wouln't smudge when I added color), and colored with Markers and a Blender Pen.  What an adorable wheel!  And who could resist coloring the image?  We don't know the baby's gender yet, and with so many little onesies to color, I could make the card work for either boy or girl.

The Needlepoint Border Embossing Folder adds a nice touch to the background for the sentiment.  The heart paper clip is from the Elements Cute Clips.  All in all, some very sweet components went into this card, and all are just perfect for a new baby on its way.

If you have friends and family expecting babies, (or you are yourself) then you'll need to find room for these items in your stamp room! You'll be able to make the sweetest, most adorable baby cards ever!  They're also perfect for Thank You cards after a shower, and baby announcements after the arrival.

Being a great aunt is a great thing. I am actually closer to some of my great aunts and uncles than my aunts and uncles. And my children get to know their great great aunts and uncles. (Which is really cool.) My Great Aunt Jackie is 80+ and still camps in a tent! She lets my four kids play the card games in the afternoon when we are camping in Montana. My great Uncle Alan and my grandfather are there too. So, in my opinion, being a great aunt is a very important thing. čśë

That sounds wonderful, Julie. I like the sound of being a great aunt. Unfortunately I doubt Ill get to see my nephews kids, since they live in California and I dont travel any more. Fortunately I have adopted family here in Albuquerque that Im close to, and thats almost as good.
