Valentine Cards: I Can’t Stop Making Them!

I just don't seem to be able to stop making Valentine Cards.  It's not just that Valentines Day is about love, it's also that the hearts and embellishments are so fun to play with!

The Core'dinations Card Stock is a great product, and has a core lighter than the surface.  After embossing the card stock, you can rub the Sanding Block over it to expose the core and get the effect you see here.  It will give your layers that extra texture and dimension that makes a card stand out and get noticed.

Stampin' Sanding Block #129367

Core'dinations Card Stock is available in three colorsReal Red, Primrose Petals (as seen in this card), and Pool Party (as seen in the Butterflies and Doily card my newsletter subscribers will learn to make for Sale-a-bration).

The embellishment in the center of the hearts is a Designer Builder Brad.  If you're like me and love lacy, girly stuff, you're going to have to order these!  The center of a Builder Brad is flat metal.  You add card stock, a punched image, or Designer Series Paper.  Then there's a clear, self-adhesive "bubble" that adheres over whatever you put in the center.  It really makes the brad POP.

What dies or punches were used for the hearts on this card? Love this look!

Thanks, Julia. The hearts were cut with the Hearts Framelits, and the embossing was done with the Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder.
