Tweet Leaves Hybrid Card

Here's a sweet hybrid card using the Tweet Leaves stamp from Stampin' Up!  It's called a hybrid, because the image was created digitally and the rest was done with traditional card stock and embellishments.  You can see another hybrid card in the September 9th post.

MDS 2, the newest version of My Digital Studio, has some awesome new features, and one of my favorites is the ability to color one stamp with different colors–just like using Markers on the rubber in your studio.  Tweet Leaves is the perfect image to get a good feel for this feature, because there are so many parts to color.

After coloring the image, I printed it and cut it out with the Window Frames Framelits, added a Cajun Craze Mat, and embossed the Midnight Muse background with the Stripes Embossing Folder.

Stitched Satin Ribbon FREE from Stampin' Up!I made use of one of my FREE spools of Stitched Satin Ribbon for the bow.  You have less than a week to take advantage of this free offer from Stampin' Up!:  For every $40 worth of merchandise you order, you'll be able to choose one free spool of ribbon from the 2012 In Colors.  Order today from my Online Stampin' Up! Store so you don't miss out on this chance to stock up on FREE ribbon.

Would you like to see a video on how I colored this image?  I started one tonight, but need to re-do it because the image in MDS is too small in the recording.  It's my first MDS video, so be patient with me please.  Let me know if you're interested, and I'll record it again. Then you can create your own hybrid card with Tweet Leaves stamp brush set from Stampin' Up!
