In case you haven't fallen in love with Serene Silhouettes yet, here's another card to tempt you–this time combined with Paper Piercing.
Don't you love the delicate image of flowers and a butterfly? The thing I really like about this stamp set is that all four images are great for embossing. I decided to start bright, with Pacific Point, and embossed it on Pink Pirouette for a striking contrast. The rest flowed from there.
If you like the look of Paper Piercing, then Stampin' Up! has done you a big favor. Their new Paper Piercing Packs make intricate designs a snap! They coordinate with our punches, Edgelits and Framelits for a variety of possibilities for dressing up your handmade cards.

You'll find the Paper Piercing templates easiest to use with the Stampin' Pierce Mat, which is large enough that you won't have to keep moving the template as you would on a smaller mat. It is a nice, thick piece of dense foam measuring 6-1/2" x 9-1/2".
I was concerned at first, because the Stampin' Pierce Mat doesn't have a solid back, and it would be easy to pierce deeply enough that the point of the Paper Piercing Tool could go all the way through and make holes in your work surface. But when you use a template, the holes are small enough that the point won't penetrate the mat very deeply.
