Give Handmade–Dad Deserves the Best

There's nothing like giving a handmade card to let Dad know he deserves the best!  A store-bought card just isn't the same.  Can't you just see the look he'll get in his eyes when he realizes you made the card especially for him?  Here's the card I'd give my dad if he were still alive.

Handmade Father's Day card with Papaya Collage from Stampin' Up!
The stamp set is Papaya Collage, with a very different look than the Victorian card I showed you Saturday.  It still has a touch of vintage, but without all the frou-frou embellishments.

Stampin' Up! doesn't have a great variety of stamp sets that work for guy cards, and the ones they do often just don't suit my tastes.  So I turn to the sets I like to see if I can squeeze a masculine card out of them.  This set works great, with the bird image and bold tag.

Leave a comment telling me what you're going to use to make Dad's handmade Fathers Day Card to let him know he deserves the best!

I used The Open Sea to make Dad’s card and for his gift I made him a set of TY cards using Plane & Simple. Looking forward to seeing what everyone else is doing…

Thanks Mary. Those are both great sets for masculine cards. I especially love The Open Sea, and have it in the digital form, which means I can make the ship image as large as i want!
