Handmade Thanksgiving Gratitudes Box

Next week we gather to celebrate and acknowlege all we are grateful for, and this handmade Thanksgving Gratitudes Box is a lovely part of my family's table next this year.  Everyone at the table will write what they are thankful for on a slip of paper, and put it in the box.  Then we read them out loud, reflecting on the many blessings as well as challenges of the past year.

This box was designed by Donna Rolston and Eva Davalos, fellow Stampin' Up! Demonstrators here in Albuquerque.  We made them at our meeting last Friday, and I wanted to show you this great project!

It is made from a cardboard tube, and pieces of chipboard cut with the Scallop Circle Die form the base and the top.  Pumpkin Pie card stock, Designer Series Paper, and 1-1/4" Striped Grosgrain and Very Vanilla Velvet ribbons from Stampin' Up! provide the embellishments.

The pumpkin on top is made from the Extra Large Oval Punch, with the Swirls Scribbles Die providing the stem and tendrils.  What a fun project, don't you think?

THIS IS AN AWESOME PROJECT!!! So cute! Could you tell me how you got the lid to stay on? Do you have a picture of the underside of the lid? You always have great projects!

Glad you like it, Sherry. I didn’t design this project, and it’s been a couple years since we made them. There must be a circle of cardboard that slips into the tube. Sorry, I don’t have any more pictures of the inside. I gave the box away that year, so can’t even look at it.
