Are you getting tired of seeing medallion cards yet? Hope not, because I don't seem to be tired of making them!
This one has a very different feel to it: Clean lines instead of my usual vintage style.
I'm not normally drawn to DSP with such bold designs as this:
It is the back side of the paper I used on the Vintage Medallion I showed you yesterday. When I turned that medallion over, I was WOWED by how cool the big polka dots turned out!
I topped this medallion with a piece of Very Vanilla card stock punched with the 3/4" Circle Punch. I sponged it lightly with Crumb Cake ink because it was a lot brighter than the Very Vanilla in the DSP. Then I tied on an Early Espresso Designer Button with Hemp Twine. I used a piece of Early Espresso card stock, cut with the Circle Scissors Plus as a background for the medallion.
The Very Vanilla background was embossed with the Perfect Polka Dot Embossing Folder, repeating the polka dot motif. I layered ribbons again: Early Espresso Satin and Very Vanilla 3/8" Taffeta (both retired, unfortunately, but they were the perfect choice for this card!). The top layer is current, though–Early Espresso 1/8" Taffeta.
