Creative Elements for a Handmade Vintage Card

I am loving this Creative Elements stamp set from Stampin' Up! for vintage cards!!

I made another distressed wallpaper with this set and Dot, Dot, Dot.  It's really fun to use layers of stamped images for a background.  I added my usual sponging and spritzing, but this time I brayered the piece with Frost White Shimmer Paint.  It creates a very different effect than the Champagne Mist (you can see an example of that HERE).  The Frost White gives a very pearly sheen to the background, whereas the Champagne Mist gives a gold sheen

The flowers are done with Blushing Bride card stock and embossed with Early Espresso.  The leaf from the Fabulous Florets set makes the perfect foliage for these lovely dahlias.

This is the first time I used one of the Designer Frames Embossing Folders, and I love the effect!  It gives a perfect frame for a sentiment or image that you want to emphasize.  Just a little sponging makes the embossing pop off the rest of the background.
