Grandma Would Have Loved this Handmade Card!

I finally got a chance to play with my new stamp sets, and I started with this image from Nature’s Pace.

Nature's Pace from Stampin' Up!

I stamped the garland image with Black Staz-On, then colored it with Peach Parfait, Always Artichoke, and Daffodil Delight Markers. It has such an old-fashioned, country kitchen kind of feel to it, that I spritzed and distressed it a bit, then couldn’t resist some Crochet Trim embellishment.

The background was done with the new Fancy Fan Letterpress Plate.  I am loving this tool, as it makes such a beautiful background!  I used Always Artichoke Craft Ink on Always Artichoke card stock, then sprayed it with Gold Glow Smooch Spritz.

As a somewhat obsessive gardener, this sentiment really speaks to me.  The tiny buttons are actually brads from the Vintage Trinkets collection.  I like how the Peach Parfait 1/2″ Stitched-Poly Ribbon adds some great contrast and sets off the sentiment nicely.
