I get really excited when Stampin' Up! carries over a stamp set I love from one of the Mini Catalogs! Here is one I am happy to see in the new catalog: Clearly for You.
I stamped the flower image on Very Vanilla card stock in Early Espresso, then colored it with Blushing Bride and Crumb Cake. I punched it out with the Postage Stamp Punch (found in both the Summer Mini and the new catalog), then sponged the edges lightly with Early Espresso. I cut some slits in the card stock then threaded the Crochet Trim through both the card stock and the Beveled Windopane and tied the ends in a knot. This is a simple way to hold the Windowpane in place over the stamped image. I thought this just had to have a sweet little safety pin from the Vintage Trinkets set.
For the background I used another carryover item: First Edition Specialty Designer Series Paper. I stamped it with the grass image from Inspired by Nature, in both Crumb Cake and Sahara Sand. The mats are Blushing Bride and Soft Suede, the ribbons are Early Espresso 5/8" Satin and Pretty in Pink 3/8" Taffeta–sponged with some Early Espresso ink to tone down the bright pink. Both of these ribbons are retired, but the Chocolate Chip Satine and Pink Pirouette 3/8" Taffeta ribbons will work just fine.
For the card base, I stamped the rose image from Elements of Style in Blushing Bride on Crumb Cake card stock. I love the soft effect this gives. The sentiment is also from Clearly for You, and was embossed with Early Espresso Craft Ink.
If you missed out on these great items from the Occasions Mini, and this post has inspired you to add them to your supplies, then you better put them on your wishlist for the new Idea Book and Catalog from Stampin' Up!
