Bye Bye Bella Toile

Just when I was having fun playing with all of my background stamps, Stampin’ Up! is retiring two that I love.  Here is the card I finished this weekend using Bella Toile.

Bella Toile Wallpaper

Distressed Wallpaper Technique
Here I used Bella Toile to create another vintage-style background that I call Distressed Wallpaper. First I stamped the Bella Toile on Very Vanilla card stock with Sahara Sand ink.  Then I colored the design very lightly with Blender Pens.  Next I stamped over that with the Wonderfully Worn background stamped.  Then came the usual sponging and distressing, with a layer of Champagne Shimmer Paint on top.

Distressed Wallpaper TechniqueI distressed the Pretty in Pink 3/8″ Taffeta Ribbon by sponging it as well, and the Tiny Tags are punched from an extra piece of the Distressed Wallpaper.

Let me know if you would like to see a video on this technique. I will put it on my to-do list!

Bella Toile may be retiring, but other stamps, like Elements of Style, would work great, too.  But wouldn’t you like to try it with Bella Toile?  Just imagine all the cool backgrounds you could make with this stamp!  If you want to add this lovely stamp to your studio, be sure to order it soon.  After June 30th it will no longer be available.  Bye, Bye.  Gone.

Just click here to order Bella Toile from my online Stampin’ Up! store.

Happy Stamping!
