I hope all of you in the US had a nice holiday weekend. I sure enjoyed the extra day off, as I got to sit and play in my stamping studio. I found this sweet image piece of flowers from the Fast and Fabulous set in my leftovers box, and decided to build a card around it. I think it turned into a lovely Sympathy Card. Although not the typical Memorial Day colors, this card is for all who have lost loved ones that died fighting the good fight.
Since I have been on a background stamp kick lately, I pulled out Dotted Spring again. It is stamped tone-on-tone on Blushing Bride card stock. The simple floral design of this stamp is a nice complement to the focal point.
Baja Breeze and Chocolate Chip are the other colors. I used the Corner Rounder punch on the image piece and its mat, and added some Baja Breeze Seam Binding, Pretty in Pink brads, and small Basic Pearls.
What do you have in your leftover bin? Anything that needs to be rescued and put into a project? Perhaps this will inspire you to see what you can come up with!
