Fabulous Florets from Stampin’ Up!

Here is another sneak peek using my favorite stamp set from the Summer Mini Catalog: Fabulous Florets.  Are you surprised my favorite is flowers?  No?  Gee, wonder why!

This is a great stamp set for using the Floating Reinker Watercolor Technique.  I stamped the images in Versamark on Shimmery White card stock, then embossed with Black Enbossing Powder.  After spraying the stamped card stock with water, I used Tangerine Tango and Daffodil Delight reinkers, and floated the color onto the images.  Click here to view the Floating Reinker Watercolor Technique video if you would like to see how it is done.

The Wild Wasabi background piece really makes the flowers pop.  I sprayed the Tangerine Tango and Wild Wasabi card stock with Champagne Shimmer Paint mixed with alcohol.  While still wet, I then embossed the card stock with the Perfect Details Texturz Plate.  The shimmer doesn't show up in the photo, but in person it is very sparkly.

Two strips of Daffodil Delight 3/8" Taffeta Ribbon, and a piece of Pumpkin Pie 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon finish it off.

Only one more week before you can order from the Summer Mini Catalog.  Have you received your copy yet?  If not, I would be happy to send you one–just email me at sage@stampingmadly.com

Happy Stamping!
