Vintage Nature Walk

There is something about the Nature Walk stamp set that inspires me to create vintage cards.  Here is one I did featuring the bird cage stamp and Botanical Gazette Designer Series Paper.

As you can see I had a lot of fun tearing things up!  I used the inks from the Distressing Essentials Kit on the torn pieces, and some Silver Foil Smooch Spritz on the background.

Although I enjoy everything I do in my stamping studio, I think the vintage style is my favorite.  It is like there is a story waiting to be told in each project.

Do you like vintage cards, too?  Would you like to learn the techniques I use to create them?  Leave me a comment and let me know, as I am working on a video for you.

Do you need any supplies for your vintage projects?  Stampin' Up has some great embellishments and tools to help you create this style.  Here is a list of some I used in this card:

  • Vintage Trinkets (118764) for the little safety pin
  • Trinket Keys (121892)
  • Crochet Trim–Chanitlly (118480)
  • Linen Thread (104199)
  • Distressing Essentials Kit  (118762)
  • Cutter Kit (106958) includes a great distressing tool
  • Silver Foil Smooch Spritz (118771)
