Key to My Heart–A Vintage Valentine

I just couldn’t resist a vintage valentine with some of the great new products from the Occasions Mini Catalog.  If you enjoy vintage projects, this catalog will really inspire you!  I hope you have received your copy and are happily dreaming of projects you want to create.  If you don’t have the Occasions Mini Catalog yet and would like me to send you one, just email me at

Whenever I work on a vintage project, I imagine finding my grandmother’s old momentos in an attic, all dusty, and maybe torn, but treasures nonetheless.  Then I imagine combining them with fresh components to show them off.  Here are some detail photos:

This photo shows the wonderful new embossing folder, Framed Tulips.  I used it on both the Very Vanilla and Rich Razzleberry card stock.  The Beveled Windowpane covers a piece that was stamped with the butterfly from For All You Do (from the main catalog) on top of a background from Clearly for You.  I love the look of these windowpanes.  They are very easy to use, and really make an image stand out on your project.  I just used Mini Glue Dots to adhere two of the corners of the image piece to the back of the windowpane, and the Crochet Trim helps hold it securely.  I used Dimensionals to adhere the image piece to the background.

Two more of my favorite embellishments from the Occasions mini are the Rosettes and the Trinket Keys you can see in this photo.  The sentiment is from the You’re a Gem set.  These keys are awesome!  They take a project to a whole new level very quickly!  And I just had to have this stamp set to go with the keys.  The hearts were cut with the Scalloped Heart of Hearts Embosslit and the leaves are from the Two Step Bird Punch, both from the main catalog.

I hope this inspires you to sit down and order some of these great products next week when the new catalog goes live.  Just imagine all the ways you could use these embellishments.

Happy Stamping,
