Rock and Roll for Thanksgiving Favors

Just one week until Thanksgiving and all that means:  Family and friends, yummy food in great abundance, and remembering all we are thankful for.  And then there are all the dirty dishes and the leftovers to deal with!  By now I hope you have your to do lists thought out and can do some preparations this weekend to save yourself some stress.

Setting a pretty table is as important as the food you put on it.  Here is a quick favor I am going to add to our table next week.

Mini Lunch Sacks (121031) from the Holiday Mini Catalog make quick and simple favors.  The stamp sets are French Foliage and Grateful Greetings. stamp sets.

IMG_2565wtmk I used the rock and roll technique again on the leaves.  Teach me a new trick, and I can’t let it go!  This time I paired up Cherry Cobbler with Pear Pizzazz, and made leaves that look very much like the ones on the Bradford Pear tree across the street.  I added Night of Navy ink for the sentiment and the french writing.  Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding finishes it all off.

Have you learned to rock and roll yet?  If not, let me know and I will do a little tutorial for you.  And even if you do know how to do this technique, leave a comment to let me know what you think of this project.

If your fingers aren’t inky yet, what are you waiting for?
