Dazzling Christmas Tree

Here is an elegant card that we made in class recently:

Lovely as a Tree (115026) is one of my "go-to" stamp sets.  Here the pine tree works great with Dazzling Diamonds to create a beautiful winter mood.  The embossed background from and the white on white (actually Very Vanilla) palette add to the simple elegance.

The card base is Crumb Cake and the mats are Cherry Cobbler.  The background is embossed with the Petals-a-Plenty Embossing Folder (116824).  I stamped the image in Always Artichoke, then used Mulitpurpose Adhesive Sheets (120805) to adhere the Dazzling Diamonds Glitter.  The tag is made with the Modern Label Punch (119849), and the bow is from Very Vanilla 3/8" Taffeta ribbon (109071).

These Adhesive Sheets are going to be a popular item in my stamping studio.  They are so easy and effective.  Here is how I used them on this project: I cut a piece slightly larger than my image piece.  Then I removed the protective layer, placed the image face down on the adhesive, rubbed with my bone folder, peeled off the backing, then covered it with the glitter.  So easy!  What a great new product from Stampin' Up!

Gorgeous card, Sage. It looks like a tree in a snowfall. I notice you recommend cutting the adhestive sheet slightly larger than the image piece. After you adhere the image to the adhesive sheet, did you trim the edges or fold them under? Thanks!
