Looking for some ideas for simple Christmas cards? The kind you can make enough of to send to your entire Christmas card list? As you might have noticed, I often make cards that are not very simple. It is not that any one step is difficult, just that there are lots of steps to most of them. So I set out to mend my ways and bring you some quick and easy cards. Here is one of them.
With the great Designer Series Papers that Stampin’ Up! offers, simple is easy. The background is one of the papers from Candy Lane Christmas. The focal image is done with the Jolly Jingles wheel. I couldn’t resist a ribbon, of course: Real Red 3/8″ Taffeta.
To jazz it up just a little, I decided to emboss the focal piece. I used Real Red craft ink and Iridescent Ice Embossing Powder.
If you have wondered what’s so special about this embossing powder, just look at how it sparkles. It is like a combination of clear embossing powder and very fine glitter. Just right when you need a little bling without it being overpowering.
