Vintage Clock with Stampin' Up! Fabric

Are you wondering what you can do with the new fabrics in Stampin' Up!'s Holiday Mini Catalog?  This clock is a fun project, and makes use of products from the new Mini, as well as great new items from the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog.

Now how cute is that!
I covered a paper mache box (from a craft store) with Deck the Halls Designer Fabric. Sticky Pages (2010-2011 IBC, page 205) made this soooo easy, no sewing needed.  The Sticky Pages are just like Sticky Strip, only they come in 12 x 12 sheets.  Just cut to the size of the fabric, peel off the red covering, apply to the fabric, peel off the backing and voila! it sticks wherever you want it.  For the edge of the box lid I used a piece of matching Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper to hide the uneven edges.  On the body of the box I used more fabric, turned under the edges, attached the Sticky Pages, and ended up without any rough edges.  And did I mention that I didn't do ANY sewing?
I wrapped the edge of the box lid with yummy Cherry Cobbler Seam Binding (Holiday Mini, page 21), and added bows of the Seam Binding, Crochet Trim, and Very Vanilla 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon.  I am just loving combining papers and fabrics in one project.  Here is detail of the front of the clock.
The clock face (Sense of Time, IBC page 127) is stamped on Naturals Ivory card stock with Craft Early Espresso Ink and embossed with Clear Embossing Powder.  Then I stamped the flourish from Elements of Style (IBC page 133) in Cherry Cobbler Ink to add some interest.  The flowers are from Vintage Vogue (IBC page 126), with leaves from the Two-Step Bird Punch.  I used a couple of Vintage Brads, as well as the little button brads from Vintage Trinkets.  The clock works came from the craft store.
If you want to try some fabric projects, here is where to get started.
