By now you may have received your Holiday Mini Catalog and seen all the fun goodies Stampin’ Up! Is offering for the upcoming season. I know, I know, it is still 95 degrees outside, and it is hard to think snow and presents at this point. But once I got my hands on the Holiday Mini, it didn’t take much to start thinking of Christmas cards and gifts. If you haven’t received your copy, I will be happy to send you one. Just email me by clicking on the button on the left sidebar.
Here is another card using my favorite set from the Holiday Mini.
This is one of the cards I am doing for my Christmas Card Class next month. If you are in the Albuquerque area and want to attend, you can email me for more information. Other items I used in this card from the Holiday Mini are Deck the Halls Designer Series Paper and the new Scallop Squares Duo.
The image was gold embossed on Shimmery White card stock then colored with Cherry Cobbler and Old Olive markers. For the bells I mixed a little Gold Glow Smooch Spritz with Gold Lame Smooch Pearlized Accent Ink. I found the Smooch Spritz was too light by itself.
I put a couple of sprays of the Smooch Spritz in my plastic dish, and added the Pearlized Accent Ink by dipping the applicator in the bottle then in the dish with the Spritz a couple of times.
Then I used the blender pen to add the color to the embossed image. This combination made a nice light background on the bells, then I picked up some of the Pearlized Accent Ink directly on my Blender Pen to add darker color to some areas. That is how I got the bells to look three dimensional.
Card Stock: Always Artichoke, Cherry Cobbler, Bushed Gold
Embellishemnts: Very Vanilla 5/8” Satin Ribbon, Vintage Brads
If you like the effect I got from the Smooch products, you might want to order some for your own Christmas projects.
I will have some more sneak peeks for you in a few days. Happy Stamping.
