I just can't get enough of the Watercolor Trio stamp set. It seems to be the first set I think about when I need a new card. This is one I did for a swap with my Upside Downline group:
The Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie just seem to grab your attention, don't you think?
The image piece is stamped on Naturals Ivory. I used markers to ink the stamps (Pumpkin Pie, Old Olive, Rose Red), then cut the piece in four squares. The Old Olive is stamped with the leaves stamp from the set to make a soft background design. I just had to add some Tiny Tags, tied with Linen Thread and attached to the Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Grosgrain Ribbons.
Are you inspired? I hope so. This great set is from the Summer Mini Catalog. Here is the info on it:
I wasn't very interested in it from the catalog picture, but once I saw it on projects I got very excited. Hope you do too. If you want to add this set to your collection, you can click HERE to order.
In case you haven't heard, the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog goes live on July 1, and all the demonstrators I know are flipping through the copy Stampin' Up! sent us this month. Oh, how to choose! My wish list is longer than the Colorado River! I have been moving out the retiring things to make room for all the new colors and accessories. In the previous post you can see the delicious Daffodil Delight card stock, ink, and 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon. My next post highlights Early Espresso, a deep, rich, dark brown. The In Colors are all yummy, and I will post a sample for you soon.
Have a wonderful week, and be sure to get stamping.
PS: I forgot to mention that I used a TechnoStamper Sketch from Mary Jo Price-Williams. Here is the sketch:
PSS: One of my visitors asked for measurements for this card. Here they are:
Card Base: Naturals Ivory 5 1/2" x 8 1/2", folded to our standard 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card.
The image piece was 3" x 3" to start with, then I cut it in quarters.
Pumpkin Pie: 3 3/16" x 3 3/16". Gives a nice thin mat for the windowpanes.
Old Olive: 4 x 5 1/4".
Labels: Watercolor Trio
