Welcome to Castle Stamping Madly!

Come on in and take a look. I am so excited to be part of this tour.  I have made some special projects for you to see today, and have some blog candy to offer as well.

The stamp set I am featuring is called Nature’s Nest.  I love this set, but hadn’t done much with it before now–just a couple of cards using the turtle stamp.  So I thought this would be a great opportunity to see what else I could do with these lovely images.  This is my first project:

What a great image, and it was so fun to color.  I like the way the Bashful Blue card stock and ribbon really accentuate the blue eggs in the nest.  The “faux lace” gives it a bit of a vintage feel (my favorite style these days).  I posted a tutorial on how to make the lace back on April 5, so if you are curious, come back another day to check it out.  But don’t get sidetracked today–there are many more castles to visit before you rest!
For my second project I decided to go all out with the vintage look.  I was imagining my grandmother receiving a letter from her best friend from a seaside vacation spot.  Then the letter sat in the attic for a few decades.

The Presto Patterns Designer Series Paper from the new Summer Mini made a perfect background.  I started with some Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz, then began sponging with Apricot Appeal, Soft Suede, and Creamy Caramel.  I am thrilled with the possibilities this paper offers!  The shells came out great with gold embossing and a dusting of Champagne Shimmer Paint.  The Mini Vintage Tag is also from the new Summer Mini, and is a lovely shimmery gold color.  I think you will be seeing more of these tags on future projects.
And on to a very different mood for the last project.  I wanted to showcase the last three stamps in the set by doing some 3×3 notecards with a box made from the Fancy Favors die.
The set has 2 cards of each design, with coordinating envelopes.
I dyed White Taffeta ribbon with Tempting Turquoise and Handsome Hunter for the dragonfly and turtle cards.  And can you see the Bitty Buttons tied to the bows?
Here is another view of the box.
I have used the Presto Patterns DSP again.  I am so excited about this paper!  It is stunning as background for the images.  I started with Smooch Spritz again, then sponged with the inks in the note cards, and gave it all a heavy coat of White Shimmer PaintDazzling Diamonds added some more bling to the image piece, as did the Rhinestone Brad on the ribbon.
Now for the blog candy–stamp sets, ribbon, punch, and paper:

To qualify, you need to be a US resident.  Subscribe to my blog and let me know you did so in a comment.  I will add your name a second time if you put a link to my blog from yours.
I will use random.org to pick a winner on May 5.  Be sure to leave your email address with your comment so I can contact you if you are the winner.

Now off you go to the next castle, where the fair Princess awaits!  Just click on the glass slipper and you will be magically transported to your next royal stop.  Be sure to look for clues along the way to qualify you for entry into the Big Shot drawing.
