Have You Heard the News from Stampin' Up!?

Yesterday Stampin’ Up! announced their Color Renovation.  This is a great revision of their line of colors.  In order to keep up with contemporary color trends, they have regrouped colors, added colors, and changed the way they will be offering the In Colors.  These will be available starting in July in the 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalog.

The bad news is I have to say goodbye to some of my favorites!

But the good news is GREAT! I get to welcome some new colors, as well as favorites I have missed.  Here is the deal:
Instead of 4 Color Families of 12 colors each, plus Neutrals, Stampin’ Up! is offering 4 collections of 10 colors each.  Here they are:

Included are 5 new colors:
Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, Cherry Cobbler, Cajun Craze, and Early Espresso

And 10 returning In Colors (Woo Hoo!)
Tangerine Tango, River Rock, Riding Hood Red, Wild Wasabi, Baja Breeze, Pink Pirouette, Pacific Point, Melon Mambo, Soft Suede, and Rich Razzleberry

I am really excited to see some of these returning colors.  But even better news is how Stampin’ Up! plans to offer In Colors in the future.  Each year they will introduce 5 In Colors, just like in the past.  But now the In Colors will be current for TWO years instead of just one.  And that means we will have 10 In Colors at any given time (starting with 2011-2012 Catalog).  How wonderful that we will have new colors rotating in and out of our palettes on a regular basis, but staying around long enough for us to really enjoy them.
I can’t wait to start playing with the new colors.  And I will have to make some farewell projects with some of my favorites.  Check your supplies and the list as well.  If some of your favorites will be unavailable after July 1, you might want to stock up on them before then.
