Awash, Awash with Flowers

Happy Days in the Garden

Every day there is something new in the garden.  Today these miniature daffodils seem to be saying “Isn’t life just grand!”
In case you haven’t noticed, I love flowers.  So you can imagine my excitement when I saw Stampin’ Up!’s new stamp set, Awash with Flowers.  I got a chance to play with it the other day, and here is what I came up with:
The word that comes to mind with this set is “exuberance.”  What a fun place to be, in a field of these flowers.  The butterfly certainly seems to think so!
I used:
Stamps:  Awash with Flowers, Of the Earth (butterfly)
Inks:  Rich Razzleberry, Melon Mambo, Yo Yo Yellow, Lovely Lilac, Only Orange, Cameo Coral, Garden Green
Card stock:  Naturals Ivory (base), Melon Mambo, Only Orange, Whisper White
Designer Series Paper:  Razzleberry Lemonade
Ribbon:  1/2″ polka-dot grosgrain, Melon Mambo
Brad:  Rhinestone Circle Fire
Awash with Flowers is a great Two-Step stamp set.  Each image has an outline stamp and a co-ordinating filler stamp.  Getting them lined up on your project is a breeze if you use Stampin’ Up!’s Stamp-a-ma-Jig, which allows you to position your image right where you want it.  No guess work, no disappointing “Oh, well.  It will have to do.”
If you want to see how to use this tool, check out the tutorial I found on YouTube here.  I use the Stamp-a-ma-jig so often, I wonder how I managed to get my images positioned before I got one.  Even with one step stamps, if I want a greeting to be centered and straight on a page, I reach for the Stamp-a-ma-jig.
Awash with Flowers won’t appear in a catalog until the new 2010-2011 Idea Book and Catalogue comes out in July.  But Stampin’ Up! loves to give us great deals, and is giving us an opportunity to buy this stamp set during the month of April.  And for a really good deal, they will give it free to any hostess who has a workshop of $350 or more.  Plus, they are offering 20% off on flour other Two-Step stamp sets, including Fifth Avenue Floral.  I posted a card using the rose from that set just a couple weeks ago,  you can see it again here.  Let me know if you want more information about these specials.
I look forward to hearing from you.  May your day be filled with flowers and smiles.
